About Me

My photo
I just recently became a Close To My Heart Independent Consultant, because of my love and addiction to paper and papercrafting! I am so excited to share with you my artwork and the artwork of all the wonderful girls I scrapbook and card make with.

Altered Canvas

Erica and I drew some inspiration from a card layout and decided to turn it into a canvas. We used a gorgeous photo that Erica took of her dog Colby, which is the title of our piece. We used the "Everlasting" paper pack for all the background papers.
We used black acrylic paint for the canvas. After it dried we used "Mod Podge" to glue on each layer of paper. We attached a red ribbon and then we used liquid glass to attach a matching ribbon which is tied around Colby's dog tag.
This is our first canvas, we learned a lot of do's and don't's from this!!  But we think it turned out well. We have a few more of these planned for the future!!

  1. What a wonderful tribute to a loving friend - an awesome job ladies!! The colors look fantastic together. The red just makes Colby "POP" and be the center of attention as she should be. Love it!
